COMPETITIONS PLAN FOR THE YEAR 2015

WAC invites You to The XVIII. Grand Indiana Award competition this year!

It will take place at the Western School Grounds in Janovice Quarry near Rýmařov during the 6.-9.th of August.

Brief Schedule:

Thursday 6.8. – Arrival of the first participants and visitors, western school accompanied bytrainings, meetings and mutual learning and knowledge of competitors.

Evening program – Country band Kentaur concert, 2nd repeat of the original Czech musical One Night in Karlstein, Theater Group Pradivadlo ,,Northern Adrenaline Theater Ensemble”,

Friday 7.8. – Full-day western school associated with training. During the day a trip of foreign competitors as well as participants from among Czech competitors around the Indiana Camp to see and know the Jeseníky mountains-accompanied GIN.

Between 18-20 hour takes place a registration in the Western School House. Evening concert and country ball featuring the Sunny Girls Prague. Camp Indiana refreshments provided! Opening of the first children's racecourse! Fire show by the Akáda & Swords Lightning from Šumperk.

Saturday 8.8. – between 8-9 hour the final registration and presentation of jury. At 10 o´clock the Opening ceremony of competitionsof all categories with miminum of four competitors. Competitions take place in parallel throughout the Indiana Camp and in all disciplines. There is a completely new lawn arena built this year for the Knife and Tomahawk disciplines in the Indidana Camp. For trick roping and gun spinning we prepare a new plank decknear Western School.

Whip cracking competition arena is ready for more than a year.

Grand Indidana Award competitions winners who will gain the first prize in each discipline
will be for the first time in the Grand Indiana Award history rewarded by cash prize of 100 US dollars! (apart from the tradicional Indiana Jones statuette, medal and diploma ).

F.A.Elstner´s Junior Award winners in children and junior categories who will gain the first prize in each discipline

In case of participation from abroad The Grand Indidana Award will be enriched by the European champion of a long whip cracking&accuracy titlefor a total score in all disciplines as stated:

Single whip – hitting targets

Single whip – High-speed hitting targets

Single whip – „Zorro contest“– turning off the candles

Two whips – styles and techniques

Individual categories are to be evaluated by Diploma, medal and Indiana Jones statuette, but with no financial reward.

The overall winner is the one who gains the highest total of points scored from all categories of the whip cracking&accuracy category.

The overall winner becomes the Indiana Grand Award long whip Master!

In case of participation from abroad The Grand Indidana Award will be also enriched by the European Champion of the year 2015 and will be rewarded with the commemorative Indiana Jones statuette, tradicional diploma, Indiana Jones medal and finally the cash prize of 100 US dollars!

The European Whip Cracking 2015 Championwill get paid the cost of the return journey to his home according to usual prices.

Grand Indiana Award Free Figure Show at La Skála Amphitheater

This year´s contest we have enriched a separate category of the Free Western Showin which contestants can choose any western motive of competition disciplines – whip, rope, knife, tomahawk or western gun that can be freely combined. This Free Western Show will take place in the afternoon at the La Skála Amphitheater. The result of this category is judged by expert jury with the contribution of the audience reactions. The Free Show Prize is the commemorative Indiana Jones statuette, tradicional Diploma, Indiana Jones Medal and cash prize of 100 US dollars!

All the competitors in all competition categories receive a commemorative certificate subscriber list.

Entry fee

Adult contestants – all disciplines starting fee is 350,- CZK (13 EUR). Competitors have the right to sign in all competition categoriesin one single price – the 350,- CZK (13 EUR). The Indiana Jones Prize holders or the competitors who have already participated in the Indiana Jones competitions the starting fee is 300,- CZK ( 11 EUR).

For the Wester Arts Club members who have paid the club contributions for 2015 so as the the European Whip Crackin Association members the entry fee is 150,- CZK (5,50 EUR).

The original Indiana Dollar Coin – that has been made more than 12 years ago already – and each new entrant competition gains for free when paying the full entry fee authorizes the subsequent years of the competitor to discounted entry fee.This tradition still follow!

Showing the Indiana Dollar Coin the contestants demonstrate not only at the entry to a competition,but it also serves as a memorial and evidence the person who is the holder has participated in any of the years of the prestigious Indiana Grand Award.

Children and juniors contestsants – all disciplines starting single fee is 150,- CZK (5,50 EUR).

For the original Indiana Dollar Coin holder the entry fee is 100,- CZK (3,70 EUR).

For the Wester Arts Club members the entry fee is 50,- CZK (1,85 EUR).
